Are you a former EY consultant who misses the efficiency of EY SlideFox? PowerPoint PowerTools is a productivity add-in that brings you all the features you’d expect from a top consulting firm’s PowerPoint toolkit. Here’s what it looks like:
PowerTools was created by ex-consultants who needed a solution akin to the tools they relied on at major firms. Since we received frequent requests from EY alumni for features similar to those in SlideFox, we listened and built them. Here are a fraction of it’s features:
Template assets: PowerTools includes a library of consulting-level template slides, editable maps, and icons. Just like working at any Big 4 like EY, you can start your slides from professional templates, speeding up your workflow significantly.
Copy-paste position: This is a classis in PowerPoint add-ins to ensure consistency across slides. Use it to apply the same position for objects like titles, subtitles, and breadcrumbs so they stay fixed as you flip through your presentation.
Swap position: One of the most requested features from Big 4 alumni. It allows you to quickly swap the positions of two selected objects. For example, if you need to replace an image with another, you just select both images and click Swap position.
Match size: PowerTools’ Match to first feature allows you to apply the dimensions of the first selected shape to subsequent shapes. But PowerTools goes beyond, letting you also match formatting, text attributes, and even positioning.
Select similar: Select an object, then use Select similar to choose all other objects on the slide that share a specific property (e.g., fill color, outline thickness). This helps with fast, batch editing.
Straighten lines: Right-clicking on any line in PowerTools allows you to instantly straighten it vertically or horizontally.
