We’re excited to announce the latest update to PowerTools! This release brings several new features, improvements, and critical bug fixes to enhance your PowerPoint experience.
New Features
- macOS Right-Click Enhancement
The “Convert to Freeform” option is now available in the right-click context menu on macOS, providing you with greater flexibility in your workflow.
- Slide Master Support
The Select Objects tools are now fully supported in the Slide Master view, making it easier to manage and edit your master slides.
- Improved Alt Key Functionality on Windows
Alignment to Guides via the Alt key has been updated to a passive feature. This change ensures that QAT users on Windows can use Alt+number keyboard shortcuts without interference.
Improvements
- macOS Shortcut Performance
The performance of the Shift+multiple arrow key shortcut on macOS has been optimized to reduce the occurrence of erroneous characters.
Bug Fixes
- Alignment Wizard & Table of Contents (Windows)
Fixed a bug that prevented the Alignment Wizard and Table of Contents from working on Windows.
- Crash on Content Copy/Duplicate (Windows)
Eliminated the crash that occurred on Windows when copying or duplicating content.
- Error 422 on Activation
Resolved the Error 422 reported by users with usernames containing special characters during activation.
- Numlock Toggle
Fixed a bug that was causing PowerTools features to sometimes toggle Numlock.
- Match Size Behaviour
The Match size feature will no longer unexpectedly shrink text size.
- Split Text Accuracy
Split Text now divides content into the correct number of text boxes without missing sections.
- Crop-To-Shape
Crop-To-Shape will no longer leave a duplicate of the source shape.
- Repeat & Distribute Stability
Resolved crashes when using Repeat & Distribute and changing values.
- Mac DLL Stability
Fixed crashes on Mac caused by DLL entry point issues.
- Multi-Painter Cursor Reset
The cursor is now correctly reset after using the Multi-painter.
