IMPORTANT UPDATE NOTICE: Due to changes to the slide gallery and supporting files in this version, updates from 2.3 to 2.4 must be done manually by downloading the latest version of the installer from our website. The automatic update feature will not work for this particular version upgrade. For instructions on how to update PowerTools to the latest version, please refer to the updates section of our documentation.
We’re excited to announce the latest update to PowerTools! This release brings significant macOS feature parity, a completely revamped licensing system, and important bug fixes to enhance your PowerPoint experience.
New Features
- Several New Features Now Available on Mac
Several key features that were previously only available on the Windows version of PowerTools are now available on Mac, including:- Table of Contents
- All remove functions (except for compress pictures)
- Insert Status Symbol
- Toolbox (all tools now work on Mac)

- Enhanced Slide Gallery
Updated with new templates, improved formatting, and standardized slide masters for more consistent, professional-looking presentations.
Improvements
- Complete Overhaul of Licensing System
We’ve rebuilt our licensing system from the ground up to improve robustness and minimize activation issues on both Windows and Mac platforms.
Bug Fixes
- Mac Compatibility Message
Fixed a bug where “Feature is not yet available on Mac” would sometimes erroneously appear when certain userforms were opened on Mac.
- Ribbon Control Text
Resolved an issue where ribbon control text would incorrectly display as “TBC” for various features.
- Transpose Table Function
Fixed a bug with the Transpose button in the Ribbon causing a runtime error.
- Footnote Manager
Corrected an error in the footnote manager that sometimes resulted in “Error in SaveShapeProperties: Input past end of file”.
- Mac Custom UI
Fixed error in custom UI on Mac: “Error found in Custom UI XML, unknown office control ID: 3DBevelPictureTopGallery”.
