Important Update Notice: Automatic updates through the add-in have been removed in favor of updates through platform-specific installers. This change was necessary to address issues some users experienced with automatic updates and to meet the more stringent security standards required by our growing enterprise client base. We’re excited to announce the latest update to PowerTools! This release introduces powerful new formatting tools and delivers significant performance improvements that make PowerTools faster and more responsive than ever before.
New Features
- Table Format Painter
Allows you to copy and apply table formatting from one table to another. Shift-clicking on the table format painter enables you to decide which table and cell properties to copy over, including table width and height, row heights, column widths, border styles, fill formats, text and paragraph settings, and more.
- Adjustment Painter
Due to popular request, this feature has been separated from the multi-painter to make it easier to copy and apply shape adjustments (such as rounded corners, chevron angles, etc.) to other shapes.
Improvements
- Significant Performance Enhancements
We’ve rebuilt our licensing system from the ground up to improve robustness and minimize activation issues on both Windows and Mac platforms.
- UI Modernization in Progress
A significant overhaul of the PowerTools UI is underway. This update includes:- New set of unified icons (still in progress)
- Overhauled userforms for greater performance and consistency throughout the add-in
- Numerous refactorings and under-the-hood improvements
